We are living in historic times. In the fight to end racial injustice, the formation of movements as significant as Black Lives Matter is critical. Contributors should find better ways to donate to these 501(c)(3) public charities than just cash to maximize their impact.
Cocatalyst is the most tax optimized way to donate to a charity.
Cocatalyst wants to support great leaders who are fighting for change and all Black Lives Matters focused charities endorsed by the New York Magazine will receive a matching in the form of our fees.
Cocatalyst was built on the idea that technology can be used to have a positive social impact on society. It took, and takes, a lot of effort to design and maintain an easy to use tool that allows donors to have up to 37% more financial impact in less than 5 minutes. Cocatalyst stock donations are the most tax optimized way you can give to a charity. In the last few weeks, we’ve also set up a new feature that can double or triple your donation, if your employer matches your gift.
Our team stands behind protesters everywhere that are fighting for fair treatment of Black individuals across the United States. We are optimistic and hopeful that our country can heal and be a better free world than the millennia of our past, even if progress is not a straight line.

We’re announcing today that if you give through Cocatalyst to any of the 115 charities that are endorsed by the editors at the New York magazine, the Cocatalyst team will waive our fees in the form of a matching donation. The gift from the Cocatalyst team will be for the processing fees we normally charge on donations to sustain our operations, and valid charities include organizations such as:
We will offer this matching grant through the entire summer (now through the end of August).
Cocatalyst is a stock donation tool that allows donors to be able to give to charities of their choice in less than 5 minutes. Non-profit organizations can also sign up Cocatalyst to accept stock online on their website. Stock donations offer two tax incentives: deduction from your adjusted gross income and waiving of capital gain taxes for the sale of appreciated stock.
* the charity must be a 501(c)3 organization. Certain political organizations may not have 501(c)3 status and is not a tax-deductible deduction. We will reimburse our base 1.75% fee by sending the funds directly to the charity after the summer match program ends. This match does not include Cocatalyst expenses incurs for processing the donation.
